Convert a DVD Movies to Mp4 Ipod Movies
Firstly, before you get started your conversion from DVD movies to Ipod Movies, you must get all your equipment ready. You will need a blank DVD, USB Port on your computer, USB Cable that will extend to the USB port on the computer and so forth. Make sure you have downloaded all the software necessary to perform all actions on your Ipod.
You can convert DVD Movies to MP4 Ipod Movies, or else convert any MPEG, AVI, 3GP, WMV, or DivX files onto an Ipod. The Internet has made available all types of converting software that makes it easier to convert files. You also have software that comes with your new gadget; therefore, it may have the necessary tools you will need to convert. Most times this is not true, since additional converting software’s are sold separate.
To get started you will need to download the correct suites. One of the most recommended is the Xilisoft DVD Ipod Suites. Once you have completed the download process you will need to run your DVD in order to convert it to your Ipod. Loading the DVD

Now we are going to highlight the files you want to convert. In Profiles, you will select the targeted output format, and here you will see a combination box at the interface area. You will now select the format, which ever you choose (for example MPEG, AVI, WMV, DivX, etc) and the process of formatting will take place.

Once you have finished this process you will now select output formats at the right of the column, which will show a standard format. Here you can select the video Rit-rates or use the defaults. Personally, I prefer using the defaults since you can’t go wrong often by doing so.
Choosing the Folders and Browsing the Tabs
Now you need to choose the folder named output, and click on the browser tab. Then enter a path name into the destiny box. Now you will choose the file you wish to convert, by right clicking on the movie or chapters and then selecting “rip.” This will start the converting process.
Ready to Load onto IPOD
Once the converting is completed, you will now move your files over to the Ipod. You will need to press in the interface the Open tab.
Locating the Files and Sending to the Tunes
Locate the file in the destiny folder and copy it over to iTunes, or else drop and drag it into the program. You have now successfully completed the converting files onto your moped, whoops Ipod. If you need additional help, you might want to call in a pro. Anyway, as you can see you can transfer, or convert nearly any extension file over to your Ipod with ease. All Ipods come with software, which you will need to download before performing any actions on your computer. For additional assistance, refer to your user’s manual.

Handbrake is a free software made available for both Mac OS and Windows. It converts your DVD to iPod movies easily. You could visit the site below:

Instructions:
1) Download the installer and install "Handbrake." into your computer.
2) Insert your DVD into your PC's DVD drive.
3) Open Handbrake (Start > All Programs > Handbrake > Handbrake)
4) Browse for the Source (Select the "VIDEO_TS" folder from your DVD drive)
5) Set the destination file.
6) Click the "Show presets button" at the upper right portion of the window and click the preset which suits your needs:
iPhone/iPod Touch - for iPhone and Touch
iPod High-Rez - preferably for iPod Video
iPod Low-Rez - preferably for iPod Nano
For subtitles (optional):
7) Click the "Audio & Subtitles" tab and select the desired subtitle.
Press "Encode Video" at the lower right portion of the window. Encoding may take a while depending on your computer's specifications.
9) Open your iTunes and add the movie file into your library by clicking "File > Add File to Library..."
For iPods:
10) To sync it with your iPod, plug in your iPod. Select the "Movies" tab, click the checkbox "Sync movies" and set the desired settings.
11) Press "Sync" at the lower right portion of your iTunes window.

The only problem with Cucusoft DVD to iPod converter (Trial Version) is it leaves a watermark.
